The Miami Valley Doberman Pinscher Club, Inc.(MVDPC), a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, was formed in the early 1950’s for the purpose of educating the public about pure-bred Doberman. Educational activities include promoting the breed to the public through a variety of events; protecting and improving the natural qualities of Dobermans.
MVDPC is a chapter club of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, Inc. www.dpca.org
MVDPC members are interested in and have excelled with their Dobermans in Conformation, performance competition (Obedience, Agility and Rally Obedience), but most importantly, our members have Dobes as beloved pets.
The club is organized and operated on a voluntary participation basis and relies on the involvement by the members in the affairs of the club.
Some of the club activities consist of American Kennel Club licensed Specialty Shows traditionally held during the March Louisville cluster weekend (although we used to hold our shows over the Memorial Day weekend), two agility trials, a summer education-oriented picnic and we end the calendar year with a winter post-holiday event.
The club holds regular meetings throughout the year. Some of our meetings offer educational programs which can include video presentations or attendance by guest speakers on various topics. Examples of topics are nutrition, dental and medical care, dog behavior, conformation showing, breeding, and many other topics of interest.
